Internet panel
Our online panel consists of about 25,000 Finns who respond to our online surveys. We use our panel solely for market research purposes. We do not sell the names or contact information of our panelists to any third party. All information, including survey responses, is strictly confidential, and respondents' names or other contact information are not linked to the survey responses without their specific written consent.
We focus on high quality and representativeness of responses. Our panelists are recruited using both offline and online channels. For offline recruitment, we use letter, telephone, or door-to-door surveys representing the Finnish population (excluding Åland Islands), as well as hall and street interviews we conduct. Online-recruited members are recruited using as many and varied electronic channels as possible (e.g., advertising in social media, direct emails, announcements in online media, student organization cooperation, etc.). In recruitment, we pay special attention to hard-to-reach target groups.
We normally reward participation with prize draw incentives to avoid professional responding. Selected target groups are currently rewarded using a point system. We typically use a fraud detection questionnaire in our forms.
We actively manage our panel. We monitor the quality of responses, panel utilization, panelist participation activity, and various recruitment process metrics. We remove inactive panelists from the panel. Our community manager communicates about our studies and is in regular contact with our panelists to keep them active and motivated members of our panel.
